Shuswap Lake Culture Crawl - Cedar Heights Events

The Shuswap Lake Culture Crawl will take place from May 18th - May 21st at various locations in the area.  The Crawl will showcase the work of the many talented people who live and work in our community. There will be art exhibits, concerts, music swaps, historical arts, theatre, dance and of course food. For a complete list of activities and venues click here.

Cedar Heights will be hosting a series of Dance Demos on Saturday, May 20th from 10:00am till 4:00 pm as part of the Crawl.  This is your chance to try out various forms of dance such as salsa, zumba, jive, ballroom dancing, Scottish Country dancing and line dancing. There will also be a Karate demo by local kids and the Tots Dance Group.

The dance instructors will show us some simple steps and invite the audience to join in, so bring your dancing shoes!  Families are welcome to bring their kids and this event is free. Refreshments will be available for purchase.  Click here for the Dance Demo schedule.

If you are more into sports than dance bring your clubs and play golf on our Par 3 course. Unfortunately we didn't have enough players registered to hold our tournament on Saturday, however you can still come and play from 8:30am till 8L30pm.  There is no need to book a tee time - just show up and have fun.  It's the best kept secret in the Shuswap, only $10 for 9 holes, $15 for 18 holes.

It's a great course for the whole family and kids under 12 (if accompanied by an adult) can play 9 holes for just $5. Clubs are also available for rent.

We will also have a series of Pickleball Demos from 11:00 till 1:00pm on our four courts. Watch them play or if you have played before you can join the fun. Drop in fees are $5. If you have never played pickleball and would like to try it out we have bats and balls for you to use and lots of experienced players who can give you pointers.

If all that activity makes you hungry a hot dog lunch will be available for purchase in the Centre from noon till 2:00pm.

Our motto is "move it or lose it", so come out this Saturday and try a new way to stay active and have fun.
